It's the third time in six days amid the coronavirus outbreak with the S&P tumbling eight per cent at open on Monday.Traders reacted to drastic weekend measures from the Federal Reserve to stave off a global recession - the second emergency cut in interest rates by the US central bank in a fortnight.

Just before the halt, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 2,250.46 points, or 9.71%, at 20,935.16, the S&P 500 was down 220.55 points, or 8.14%, at 2,490.47 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 482.15 points, or 6.12%, at 7,392.73.One Australian man landing at the Gold Coast seems to have few concerns about the new 14-day quarantine restrictions on anyone arriving in the country.he's planning to "punch some cones" to the dismay of his female companion.

A little surprising given the news out of China. They have recommenced shipping and manufacturing in significant numbers. No new reports of Covid-19 outside of ground zero, except for travellers returning. Not suggesting a rosy picture, but certainly an improved outlook?
