NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian would not be drawn on calls by her Western Australian counterpart to crack down on overseas travel exemptions, saying it is “not a call for the states” to decide why people are allowed to leave Australia.on Sunday, Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan said a group of state leaders believed fewer exemptions should be granted, after previously alleging many people in Perth quarantine had left Australia multiple times for personal reasons.

WA Police superintendent Ricky Chadwick said the closure of the border checkpoint was due to burn-offs in the area and two serious crashes.“At the moment we have closed Forrest Highway to all traffic heading south and all traffic heading north from Bunbury, the reason being the smoke .... is extremely dangerous, we’ve already had two serious crashes as a result of this,” he told Radio 6PR.

What a load of buck passing, panic and complete bs. This guy wants to blame everyone else and lock down things. He and DicDan smoke the same stuff and try to lay similar smoke screens. It world be nice to see someone hold them to account. In both states a pathetic opposition

We desperately need purpose built quarantine facilities in every single capital city. Hotel quarantine was a quick fix which has gone on top long. The logical choice is to use our existing RAAF bases as quarantine hubs. Every city has one. They're secure, have space & logistics
