There's issues with the government's prized app? Who would have guessed. Be smart about your health, social interactions and outtings and the decisions you make, that's what will reduce your risk of catching and spreading the virus.
Interesting the govt only have a metrics claim on how many have downloaded it, but not how many have uninstalled it. It's a battery killer on Android because it runs in the foreground, ignores and overrides battery saver optimisations, and bluetooth is 'always on' and scanning.

States need to sort out where the app can help and where its has limits in context of an overall risk assessment of spread under various social situations and where the data is useful and where it isnt. Too much 'faith' in an app could risk new spread & more acute infections

Prevention is better than cure. Will tracing app identify all outbreaks? It’s limited to 15 minute contacts. We need massive testing. Checks of businesses like meat works , what steps they are taking to prevent outbreaks, ensuring social distancing, disinfection, hand washing

problem with this app is tht there is no way we can be sure it is working properly & giving accurate data if the data is not accurate & the federal Gment use it as a base line to remove restrictions the result could be catastrophic

The claim in the article is a lie - the app does NOT tell you when people come into close contact. It tells you when you are connected via Bluetooth. The next time you are in a crowded area like a train, just check to see how many that is and how far away from you they are.
They say 4 million downloads, yet the play store has it down as 1 million +,not 4. Does that mean 3 million + have downloaded from the Apple store? Highly doubtful
