Finance Minister Mathias Cormann has personally called on mining magnate Clive Palmer to drop his constitutional challenge to Western Australia's border restrictions.
"We are no longer party to those proceedings, we've stepped away and that is in recognition of the fact that circumstances have changed," he said."But really this whole issue could be resolved if the whole proceeding fell away and given what's been happening in Victoria, given where the country is at, what I would say to Clive Palmer is please reconsider proceeding with this case.
