A contractor allegedly responsible for a gas mix-up at a Sydney hospital that caused the death of a newborn six years ago has faced court.

Hospital subcontractor Christopher Turner appeared in Bankstown Local Court today, which heard he "lied" when he signed off that the pipes had been tested.Subcontractor Christopher Turner has been charged with manslaughter over the death of a newborn baby at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
