ANALYSIS: Consumers and businesses are on strike and that's dragging the economy down

Getting wages growth back near average requires the unemployment rate to fall .

"It is clear that any boost to disposable income in the quarter from the rebate and lower mortgage payments was saved, effectively paying down debt faster if done so in an offset account rather than spent," RBC strategist Robert Thompson noted. Higher earners are the biggest beneficiaries of the Government's tax cuts, but lower income households may pay through reduced public services if Treasury's forecasts prove too optimistic.

Dr Stanford argues the federal government, rather perversely, has actually encouraged this counter-productive reaction, with both the size of its tax cut, and its design.

Oh what a load of fraudulent liars as if anyone can afford to even go on strike in the lucky damn country where most can’t even afford to damn live anymore can’t even supply people with guaranteed base load power supply’s or even water because you have made our life’s better

That's the way, blame the people for decades of unscrupulous, criminal behavior by the banks, that has gone completely unchecked and ignored by both the phony regulators and the political leeches/puppets residing in parliament. This debt bubble begins and ends with the banks.

Interesting what's happening, yet here's a Government pressing ahead further with its ensuring integrity bill. As if that's going to change consumers minds when they don't have enough money to cover the bills already. A Government at a dead end, totally devoid of ides.

I am not on strike - I would love to go shopping but I have no money left after paying the bills - Tax, mortgage, rates, insurance, car, registration, fuel, utilities, food and then there is nothing left for nice things like dining out, nails, hair, clothes 😓😓😓

Is the ABC is actually willing for a recession ?.

You should think twice about that holiday tattooIt might be an increasingly popular activity for travellers, but this is potentially one holiday souvenir that could backfire in a devastating way. Good tattoos aren't cheap, cheap tattoos aren't good. If you don't literally see the artist unwrap needles/equipment from sealed packaging then get the hell out of there. That's why you go to well renowned tattoo businesses overseas such as Celebrity Ink and Bloodline Tattoo. All advertise 'Australian Health Standards' and based on personal experience, are more hygienic than most Australian stores. You can't even wear shoes inside them!!
