Constitution should be ‘protected’: Bronwyn Bishop

Ms Bishop said every piece of legislation impacts Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders because “they are Australians by definition”.

“There is no reason you can’t have legislation about wanting to have another advisory body,” she said. “But honestly, I think the referendum we need to have is to remove the race-making power from the constitution.”
