Conor McGregor knocked out in brutal fashion

Dustin Poirier has knocked out UFC superstar Conor McGregor in a sensational second-round turnaround at UFC 257.

He showed composure to maneuver himself out of the situation and get back to striking range where the Irishman showed he still had the power and hand speed to catch his rival on more than one occasion. From there, Poirier unleashed, entering a brief frenzied period of brawling that had McGregor unsuccessfully attempting to bob and weave his way off the cage until he was overwhelmed.

"Conor took this result really professionally over here, he's a pro, and I've got nothing but respect," Poirier said."I'm just happy. I'm happy with the pace I am, I'm happy with the man I see in the mirror."

Closer than people thought, it just takes 1 shot to rock your opponent then it’s over, great win by Poirier, hoping McGregor just retires now, wouldn’t hate to see his legacy reduced further
