Ted O’Brien, the shadow minister for climate change and energy, issued a statement on Friday saying he was “launching a grassroots community engagement program” under the banner “Time to Talk Nuclear”.

If you are going to make an issue out of a connection as trivial as this, you should then apply the same criteria to many other nonprofits, even the green ones.
The director of the Clean Power Campaign works for Berkshire Hathaway. Considering that his organization was trying to shut down the largest source of no-emissions electricity in the state of California, this is a serious concern. But it goes unnoticed by the press.
Even if I think this is a non issue, it's fine to point out possible connections between corporations and activists. However in this case it boils down to nothing. When people from the fossil fuels industry has obvious conflict of interest, we never hesr about it.
This is great that we are finally discussing the nuclear option. The only way to transition our energy mix, personally I dispute that it’s even required, then nuclear energy has to be part of that change.
