The former Melbourne real estate agent Ralph Babet won’t support Labor’s 43 per cent emissions reduction target and wants tax burdens on companies eased.

sole representative in federal Parliament says the Albanese government should ease the regulatory and tax burden on corporations, to boost the economic recovery and stop firms doing business offshore.

“Capital regulations, let companies compete, make it easy for companies to do business in Australia, don’t tie their hands up so much that they have to go and do business offshore.“We need more capitalism, not less capitalism. We need real true capitalism, not crony capitalism, where the political class and the business elites get together and find different ways to stitch up the average Australian.

Senator Babet is yet to talk to Labor or Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Parliament is due to meet for the first time since the election on July 26. After taking part in anti-lockdown protests in Melbourne, the 39-year-old campaigned on an end to “segregation” and COVID-19 vaccination mandates, hitting out at “the ever-growing power and authoritarianism of the government.”

Keep it up Babet. Reality denial gave the LNP / PUP the election result they deserved.

No point in running this headline.

So? Who cares?

TomMcIlroy They knew the game was up at mad as hell when they realised they couldn’t out-parody this bloke.

mmm... Babet is just another obstructionist... fools voted for him... he can just sit on the sidelines and every now and then jump and scream in the chamber... just like Hanson... both are an embarrassment to the nation...

The only thing settled in the climate debate is that climate policies are designed to destroy capitalism

I can describe Ralph with a 4 letter word that starts with a C and has a T and U in it And it's not cute.

His face is the answer to the question “what happens if Bert Newton and Chief Wiggum have a baby?”

No surprise there!

Of course he's a climate change denier. Clive paid him to be a climate change denier.

'Pretty sad': Nick Kyrgios laments lack of support from Australian greats ahead of Djokovic showdownNick Kyrgios says there are plenty of nerves ahead of his maiden grand slam final but says that not feeling the love from former Australian greats hurts. If he didn't carry on with his stupid antics more people would support him, You can't have it both ways. Well if he wasn't such an asshole on court he'd have the support of the Australian greats. No one wants to be associated with an asshole. And if hes on court behaviour is an indicator of his behaviour off court he should be treated like everyone else in Tue eyes of the law. A National embarrassment and serial bad sport expects Australian tennis greats to support him? So ignorance is his latest trait?
