Despite the widespread violence, perpetrated by some protesters and some police, America is a “long way from teetering on the brink of collapse,” according to the australian’s Greg Sheridan

Despite the widespread violence, perpetrated by some protesters and some police, America is a “long way from teetering on the brink of collapse,” according to The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan. America has endured its eighth straight day of protest in response to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes as he told them "I can't breathe".

Mr Sheridan told Sky News while protesters had a right to be “incensed” by Floyd’s murder, the violence will likely “help Donald Trump in November.” “The history of race riots and civil violence in the United States is that it helps the law and order party, and it doesn’t do much good for the cause it is meant to be backing,” he said. “This is a very serious matter, and I think Donald Trump is uniquely ill-equipped to pour a soothing balm on these troubles as a president.

australian Sure hope your wrong about that prediction

australian I love non Americans talking about America. This ain't 1968 when their was unrest and LBJ was president and Trump's deplorables certainly ain't the 'silent majority' of Nixon. All this unrest is happening under the arsonist in the White House.

australian This dog occasionally takes his family on a ski holiday in Colorado and thinks this makes him the authority on racial inequality in the USA.

australian Turn to CNN if you want the facts on black America’s economic position. Sheridan is an embarrassing propagandist and another reason why his paper never makes a profit.

australian Watch ABC’s Planet America tonight to see that every comment made by Sheridan on black americas economic position compared to whites is completely wrong. No surprise. A shallow paid for propagandist.

australian and yet.....

australian America is not going to be brought down by these destroyers. This is part of the painful process of draining the swamp of the leftist perversion.

australian Haha so true it is still say to wealthy and powerful to collapse

australian

australian Even with 38% of Americans clearly suffering cognitive impairment, that still leaves a lot of people who can keep that great nation going... whatever you think of it right now, we need the USA. We just want it to represent the ideals it was founded on (well most of them)

australian Well isn’t that a shame The idiots are shitting in their own political nest

australian Lol, it is falling fast, we aren’t blind.

australian It won’t collapse-And once all the dust settles it will be Exactly the same as it was before-Changing the way people think and preceive their world will take somthing far greater then what’s happening now-No this madness is yet to find its foe to bring it to its knees

australian

australian Depends what you term collapse?

australian 😂😂

australian There are widespread protests & widespread police brutality against peaceful protesters. Fix your headline!

australian How many people are on the streets nationwide? 100k? 200k? 1m? That would mean there is what, 329 million other people. Real issue (for looters and vandals) will be if the Patriots rise and take their country back.

australian It only needs an attack from China and Russia and will fall like a card house

australian There are no republicans left in America. They are now trumpists. Republicans are endorsing joebiden, the democratic candidate.

australian Good news.

australian There has never been a Lunatic in the WhiteHouse.... NeverTrumper Republicans will vote him out 🔥🔥🔥🐲🐷🐷🐷👹🤮😤🦠🐒👇👇👇🙅‍♂️

australian It's a pity we can't say the same about his publication.

australian What are Greg Sheridan’s qualifications on being able to predict American socioeconomic changes?

National broadcaster ‘is self-absorbed' in spruiking ABC | Sky News AustraliaThe national broadcaster acts as if “a billion dollar a year public institution shouldn’t be accountable” and engages in 'self-absorption,' says Sky News host Chris Kenny. \n\nMr Kenny said, “there is no one so obsessed with the ABC, as the ABC”. \n\nHe said even when their hosts, such as Kerry O'Brien and Barrie Cassidy “leave to live off their ABC retirement deals” the national broadcaster “brings them back to do more for the ABC”. \n\nMr Kenny said those at the ABC, like presenter Paul Barry, seem “to think the only access to information” which can be utilised “is through the ABC”. \n\nHe also said predictions which were expressed on the national broadcaster over the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia ended up being 'wildly alarmist and wrong' given how the coronavirus curve has been flattened in the nation. \n\nImage: Getty The most accurate part of this is that Chris Kenny said it. Instead of 'trying to discover COVID origins,' the ABC 'tries to rubbish revelations' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says the ABC is engaging in an “extraordinary move” as its investigation unit attempts to discredit a Sharri Markson exclusive which “attracted international interest” on the COVID-19 outbreak, all at the taxpayers' expense. \n\nHe said the exclusive by Sky News host Sharri Markson, which was published in the Daily Telegraph concerned an alleged cover-up by Chinese authorities regarding the coronavirus outbreak. \n\n“It attracted international interest and amplified calls for a full and independent inquiry into the outbreak – something that China has not only strongly resisted but has punished Australia with trade sanctions for daring to suggest”. \n\nHe said the ABC’s “priority is to rubbish” the exclusive and “refute” Ms Markson’s story. \n\nDiscussing the issue, Sky News host Sharri Markson said, 'it’s quite extraordinary that you have the public broadcaster trying to bully journalists out of pursuing a legitimate line of inquiry that western governments all around the world know is a possibility if not a strong possibility”.\n\n'Media Watch and the ABC seem to be against anyone breaking a story, unless the vision is supplied by animal activists, the research is done by unionists or it mentions some cooked up claims about Russian collusion,' Mr Kenny said.\n\n'I think this is extraordinary because the ABC is doing all this at your expense ... rather than spending their resources, their investigations unit, trying to find out what happened, where the virus came from, they want to spend all their efforts trying to knock over a story because it came from News Corp'. \n\n'And because maybe it's a story that Donald Trump likes'. \n\nImage: Getty Um - that’s because it was BS. Mind you, it sucked in the morons at FauxNews . Sharri got to be on racist Tucker Carlson’s show. Giddily exciting. 5 eyes - more like 5 lies... When is SkyJoke going to focus on actual news?

Trump would have to 'surpass all presidential achievements' to resolve race tensions | Sky News AustraliaFollowing the “heartless and appalling” death of African-American man George Floyd, the protests are now giving 'way to violent opportunism,” Sky News host Chris Kenny says. \n\nPolice and protesters are facing off in another night of unrest in the United States as violent demonstrations continue to erupt over the death of Mr Floyd.\n\nMr Floyd died after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes as he told them 'I can't breathe'.\n\nNationwide protests have subsequently been sparked across the country, leading to violence, the burning of buildings and further deaths and arrests. \n\n“There are so many acts of violence, so many horrific stories in cities across the US,” Mr Kenny said. \n\n“And there is a lot of ill-informed, whether deliberate or not, commentary about this being the destruction of America, the inevitable result of Donald Trump's divisiveness”. \n\n“Barack Obama had to deal with recurring race rights in Ferguson, Missouri, after another African American man, Michael Brown, was killed by police and those riots spread across the nation,” he said. \n\nHe said US President Donald Trump must now “check himself” and “make sure he doesn't tweet or do anything to make it worse”. \n\nLast week, a Tweet by US President Donald Trump relating to 'looting and shooting' and the violent protests in Minneapolis was 'hidden from view' on the social media platform with Twitter stating it violates rules about 'glorifying violence'.\n\n“There is no doubt there is a partisan strain to all this, the left who first began violent protests against Trump the day he was elected, are certainly part of the push now, still taking out their frustrations again”. \n\n“The question now is when and how it will stop, or at least subside?” Mr Kenny said.\n\nImage: AP \n\n Both good descriptions of the behavior of the police. 'So let's blame the protestors, and not the systemic racism of the police, for whom murder is a normal occurrence' Right wing loud mouth abusive president turns into loud mouth abusive protests. Go figure..... It wouldn't happen under a real leader like Mandela or Ghandi. Talk abuse get abusive people simple.
