Liberals in city electorates are launching final attempts to woo undecided voters by promoting endorsements from Josh Frydenberg on the key issue of climate change without any mention of Scott Morrison | CroweDM

Liberals in city electorates are launching final attempts to woo undecided voters by promoting endorsements from Treasurer Josh Frydenberg on the key issue of climate change without any mention of Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

The message is also endorsed by NSW Treasurer Matt Kean, one of the party’s loudest advocates for action on climate change and most vocal critic of Morrison and the conservative wing of the party. The flyer sent out to support Sharma, authorised by NSW Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg, is the latest sign that MPs in some of the toughest contests want to campaign on their records on climate change or LGBTQ rights rather than on Morrison as the leader of the government.Liberals said similar messages were being sent to voters on climate change in the NSW electorates of Reid and Bennelong.

Frydenberg has scaled back the use of the Liberal Party brand and the mention of Morrison in his campaign to defend the blue-ribbon seat of Kooyong in Melbourne, paying for billboards that urge voters to “Keep Josh” so they have a strong economy and strong national security.by calling for a conscience vote on the issue in March 2015, when he was assistant treasurer and Tony Abbott, the prime minister at the time, opposed the change and did not want a conscience vote.

CroweDM oh ffs! it's beyond pointless reporting their personal pov on climate. their personal views are irrelevant. they can't stray from the LNP dogma. when it comes time they will all vote in line with Barnaby and the qld coal addicted nationals.

CroweDM This is their leader. lol

CroweDM Vote for Josh, get ScoMo

CroweDM Don’t risk your health changing doctor who had brought you through to recovery now that we are recuperating. Same with our nation, stability with a continued Coalition government. We absolutely need 3 more years of the same.💪💪💪

CroweDM

CroweDM Not worth a penny. They are doing it to keep their seat. Not genuine

CroweDM Climate change is Bullsh1t.

CroweDM Never once have they crossed the floor on climate issues… never once did they support cross bench on icac. Moderates in name only. A vote for them is a vote for inaction on climate

CroweDM It’s funny, because by all accounts DaveSharma accomplished less than the last independent did. He has never been seen in his electorate, and has spent his campaign time grandstanding, council and state achievements. “Not my job, on holidays” comes to mind.

CroweDM This is hilarious bc JoshFrydenberg has a ClimateEmergency lack of anything policy that lead to the rise of Mon4Kooyong in the first place. Are you people new? ausvotes auspol

CroweDM All bluster if they never once crossed the floor to make meaningful change happen. Vote for people that will act.

CroweDM Relying on an endorsement from JoshFrydenberg? Now that's what I call desperation. DaveSharma

CroweDM If you are “turning to Frydenburg” on climate, register at Centrelink. You don’t have a job on Sunday.

CroweDM Adiós Dave

CroweDM Shit thats funny.

Kooyong, along with Goldstein and Higgins, should already be Labor or independentIf it wasn’t for the popularity of incumbent MPs and ingrained party loyalty handed down through generations, the seats of Higgins, Kooyong and Goldstein would be held by Labor or independents. AusPol AusVotes AusVotes22 AusVotes2022 kooyongvotes So democracy doesn’t matter according to you Any thoughts on Sakkal's complete fuck-up or are you just going to shuffle him off to London like past LNP stenographers Bevan Shields and Rob Harris? What a ridiculous take . Could say the same for any LABOR seats

Labor ‘playing dead’ in seat of KooyongNo one has to do anything. Frydenberg and Frydenberg alone has brought about his own fate in Kooyong. His once promising career ended when he stapled himself to Morrison. Australian democracy needs reform on donations to politicians & parties, reform on politicians expenses, enforceable codes of parliamentary conduct & political advertising & an effective Federal ICAC. Independents have promoted these. The LNP supports none & avoids accountability It's the independents fault, it's the media's fault, it's now labor's fault. If everyone's fault except Frydenberg and the Liberal Party's. No one held a gun to Josh's head and had him kick Victoria when it was down. The Liberal Party made Deeves an issue via a captain's pick.
