City cruise through to Cup's last four after downing Western Sydney | MickLynch_Age

English import Craig Noone stole the show with two goals in a man of the match performance as Melbourne City cruised into the FFA Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 demolition of a disappointing Western Sydney Wanderers.

His excellent first touch took him clear of his marker in the eighth minute and he hared off down the left flank before sending a cross over which Socceroo frontman Jamie Maclaren headed over. Another of City's promising youngsters, Connor Metcalfe, started this game in midfield. He linked well with Noone, who set up another youngster in winger Ramy Najjarine but the latter failed to take advantage of his opportunity.

Wanderers had a golden chance to equalise in the 43rd minute when Yeboah was played through by Majewski, made space for himself but fired over when through on goal.
