Queensland's chief health officer has played down fears from ambulance staff who are reportedly concerned about the highly contagious UK coronavirus strain.

An unknown paramedic reportedly expressed concerns her colleagues were inadequately trained to handle the highly contagious UK strain of the deadly virus traced to the Brisbane hotel.

“We have always trained our QAS officers to the maximum level,” she told reporters on Thursday morning. “That is their expertise. They move infectious people every single day. That’s what they do.”Source:News Corp Australia “Plus – we moved each room in their own ambulance. We didn’t mix people. That’s why it took so long.”

“I assure you, all of those things were taken into consideration to make sure that the 129 people were kept safe and that anyone around them as this occurred were kept safe,” she said.Dr Young said she had complete faith in the ambulance staff.

'Woke revolution' censorship of Dr Seuss 'runs from silly to sinister' | Sky News AustraliaThe push to cancel famous children’s author Dr Seuss “runs from silly to sinister” according to Sky News host James Morrow. \n\nThe Foundation supposedly devoted to preserving the children's author's memory, Dr Seuss Enterprises, has condemned books like “If I Ran the Zoo’ and ‘Scrambled Eggs Super’.\n\nA statement from the company reads, 'ceasing sales of these books is only part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr Seuss Enterprises' catalogue represents and supports all communities and families.'\n\nMr Morrow said the Sydney Morning Herald “naturally defended the move' celebrating the removal content which fed kids “stale racist stereotypes”.\n\n“How good is it that we live in the most perfect moment in all of human history, when everything that came before us was just backward and benighted,” Mr Morrow said.\n\n'Dr Seuss, the delightful author whom no less than Barack and Michelle Obama praised in 2015 saying, 'pretty much all the stuff you need to know is in Dr. Seuss' has now just six years later been consumed by the woke revolution.'\n\nAmazon has also supported the move and the discredited titles are now listed as unavailable while Ebay has taken similar action and banned the books from being auctioned on its platform. \n\nMr Morrow said the “real worry” is that Big Tech platforms are “increasingly able to dictate what society reads and consumes”.\n\n“One document recently ferreted out of Google shows that they actively put their thumb on the scales of their search algorithms to mold society the way they would like to see it,” he said.\n\nMr Morrow said the Morrison government should consider adopting legislation from Texas where the governor is looking to pass a bill which will prohibit social media companies censoring Texans based on the viewpoints they express. \n Wow, really pulling the important stories and issues from Faux media in the USA. You guys hate that boycotts can affect your bottom line 😙 A lot concerned about search results being alerted than a shop choosing not to sell a product. Why wasn't it included in the media legislation just passed? Why? Because ScoMo is gutless. Won't even help fire effected towns. If you can't hold a hose, then gtfo The Seuss Estate chose to withdraw six titles themselves due to racist descriptions that are out of step with today’s values. How this warrants a week-long discussion here and on Fox is unfathomable

Dr. Seuss books with racist images will stop being publishedThe popular children's author has been translated into dozens of languages and braile andhas been sold in more than 100 countries, but schools across the US have moved away from his catalogue. What was 'racist' about it? The green ham? Fictional world? A cat with a hat? Is this some sort of sick joke?😡 Utterly ridiculous. Glad my kids were raised with Dr Seuss books. Nonsense is so much fun, and a good parenting opportunity to give kids and understanding of make believe, humour and reality.
