The Australian’s Will Glasgow says Taiwan will “definitely see” more international politicians visiting as US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did.

Mr Glasgow said this was a benefit to China’s harsh policy of controlling Taiwan by force if necessary as it “increases the support of other liberal democracies around the world”.

“There was a massive tantrum about Speaker Pelosi’s visit but throughout this year there’s been congressional delegations coming through here,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny. “They’re becoming more and more routine as Washington’s signalling to Beijing they are concerned about the situation.”
