This is the picture the FBI has released of a teddy bear bomb placed on a roadside in South Carolina, which they said was deliberately placed where a child could have found it.

The FBI said the teddy bear device was one of six bombs left by the 'terrorist sympathiser' Wesley Dallas Ayers between January 24 and February 24 in 2018. The six devices were placed around the rural community of Anderson, South Carolina over the course of that month with fears more would be left.A break in the case only came when local police talked to a man who said he knew someone who had been practicing building bombs in his home.

Police closed in on Wesley “Dallas” Ayers, 26, who lived close to the site of where the bombings were left, and issued a search warrant. Detectives found including identical bomb components to the ones used in the devices and exact copies of the writings that had been found at the scenes.
