The eerie footage shows the once bustling city of Wuhan - which has now been reduced to an empty ghost town.

28 Days Later

Wuhan is normally a bustling city of almost 9 million people straddling the Yangtze River in the province of Hubei in central China.According to the World Health Organisation there have been 24,363 cases of people contracting coronavirus in China and 490 deaths. It’s estimated around 80 per cent of those cases have been in Hubei province. Around 97 per cent of the deaths have been in and around Wuhan.

However, in the footage the airport is eerily quiet. Not a single car or taxi approaches the vast terminal. Not a person can be seen. Planes are parked at the gates but they are unconnected to the passenger walkways that would transport customers onto the planes. It’s almost as if the places are also quarantined.Source:SuppliedSource:SuppliedSource:Supplied
