They're doing the job but they are not getting any support," she said.
"We are seeing an unacceptable number of correctional officers out on workers' compensation and suffering, particularly with PTSD," she said.
Seems these guys weren't cut out to be prison guards. People should really know what they are getting themselves into. I feel sorry for the burden on the families but government can't solve all your problems.
Terrible thing for these families, hopefully the gov will support them. There needs to be more done on pre employment psychological screenings. Obviously these 2 should have never been employed as prison guards.
So radically change the design and operation of jails so as to lessen or eradicate assaults OR find alternative employment.
