One of the really painful things for Robbie Cooke and David Foster, though, is that they’ve had their text messages and private messages and emails and notes read back to them in this inquiry, which has, you know, really strong powers. To me, it’s a great reminder of that old adage, “never write down anything that you wouldn’t want to be read out in court”. How would we go if we trawled through Anthony McDonald’s text messages?Oh man. I’d be in more trouble than David Foster, I reckon.

Just take a step back. Like you said, Woodside is a big oil and gas producer, makes lots of money from the LNG plants in north-western Australia and other projects all around the world, it’s emissions heavy in what it does, and obviously, it’s very emissions heavy in terms of what its customers do with its product, which is burn it for energy.
