Border closures dominate fiery debate between Qld leaders at People’s Forum | Sky News AustraliaThe Queensland Premier has emerged the clear winner, after going head-to-head with Deb Frecklington, at the Sky News \u002F Courier-Mail People's Forum.\n\nThe topic of border closures dominated the clash as the leaders faced questions from a group of undecided voters.\n\nOf the undecided voters in the room - when asked who they’re more likely to vote for after the people’s forum - Premier Palaszczuk secured 53%, Deb Frecklington 30% and 17% were still undecided.\n\nThe race has tightened over the past week and the LNP are polling more strongly outside of the southeast corner of the state.\n DebFrecklington Don’t agree with this claim DebFrecklington Yeah even after your efforts of to stack the audience with LNP sympathisors MurdochRoyalCommission DebFrecklington Frecklington’s waffle in her answers was irritating. Confusion and uncertainty around Qld border reopening | Sky News AustraliaThe Palaszczuk government's decision to open up its borders to NSW, but restrict residents from Greater Sydney from travelling to Queensland is creating confusion and uncertainty for people intending to travel north.\n\nFor those living outside of the Sydney basin, they may resume travel to Qld from November 3, but questions have been raised about what constitutes the permissible zone around the edges of Greater Sydney. \n\nResidents would not be permitted to enter Qld if they had travelled to Sydney in a 14-day period unless they entered the state to attend Sydney Airport.\n\nSydneysiders are not restricted from travelling to regional parts of NSW, given the state has no restrictions internally, posing concerns about asymptomatic carriers of the virus.\n\nThe malleability of the Palaszczuk government's restrictions - including the re-closing of borders to NSW if cases entered Qld - has cast doubts on Prime Minister Scott Morrison's hopes of no internal borders by Christmas.\n\n\n Only for dumb people It's only confusing for News Corp, not anyone else.
