Two years after joining Cbus, Campbell was promoted to head of private markets where her remit broadened to cover $25 billion of FUM

Alexandra Campbell, deputy chief investment officer and head of private markets for the industry super fund that manages over $85 billion of money for its 910,000 members, announced her departure this week.

It is understood Campbell tendered her resignation without a new role lined up. She is planning to pursue commercial opportunities outside of industry super, sources said.Campbell joined Cbus in 2020 as its head of infrastructure, according to her LinkedIn profile. She was charged with formulating an investment strategy and overseeing a portfolio of some $9 billion of funds under management.

Just over two years later, she was elevated to head of private markets where her remit broadened to cover $25 billion of FUM. That was followed by another promotion, six months later, to deputy chief investment officer.Her departure was announced via an internal email on Wednesday. A replacement has not yet been named. Cbus’ chief investment officer is Brett Chatfield.
