'Fix it' Fuming Cats coach clashes with crowd as Eddie erupts

“I tripped on someone’s leg. I said to the security guard did he trip me or do you need to make sure that legs aren’t popping out. It was probably an accident, I’m not sure,” he said.

“Again, you can come up with a million examples of things that don’t make much sense but we should just focus on trying to jump into line and provide a good example to the rest of the public because its been a hard 18 months and with a bit of luck and a bit of hard work we can get through this last little bit and move on with our lives.

Speaking about the incident post-game, former Collingwood president Eddie McGuire told Fox Footy he had campaigned several times for protective glass to be installed for coaches to get onto the ground without fanfare. “They’ve built this place - you can’t have coaches walking through the crowd, for everyone’s sake. They have to fix it, it’s as simple as that.

Hopefully AFL teams start to grow some balls and refuse to play at venues such as Adelaide Oval until this sort of thing can be fixed. The SA govt is already making it extremely hard to play games there and are the only govt with restrictions on teams people are sick of it all!
