Not to mention the leak of passengers details due to an hacking of their system back in may and they notified the customer in October...something wrong in the company...I hope they get back on track as they used too.

That is a 4% discount, Hardly steep.

Cathay Pacific sells $23,000 premium seats for $964 in ticketing blunderAll eyes are on Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. as it decides what to do with the tickets that it appeared to have sold in error at a fraction of their prices. To put some further perspective, all these headlines claiming US$16K is outrageous. Tickets from Vietnam point of sale for premium tickets in business class would average around US$3K to US$4K per seat. cathaypacific are actually honoring all these tickets which is really good PR for them. Pity VirginAustralia didn't do the same when they sold these types of fares. Stale news that requires an early update as yesterday Cathay announced that they’d be honouring the bargains. Surely you can do better than cut and paste?

Virgin cries foul over Qantas and Cathay Pacific codeshare plansVirgin Australia says plans for Cathay to codeshare on Qantas flights to Hong Kong will reduce competition and result in higher airfares. pwhatch I'd have thought that Virgin would welcome higher fares as their bottom line could certainly be enhanced! Cherry-picking a route and taking on long-standing incumbents is not always successful (or even very smart). Jamie_Freed
