A handwritten sign at one Woolworths store has sparked an intense reaction from pro-cash supporters. Sharing on a popular Facebook group, a shopper posted an image of the note — which appears to have been written by a Woolies team member at the Sebastopol, Victoria, store. The sign told customers that EFTPOS has down at the store, meaning that cash could only be accepted on all transactions. “Cash only, no EFTPOS. Sorry,” the note reads. 7NEWS.com.

” Woolworths accept cash and card in all stores nationally, and there are no plans to make its stores card only. 7NEWS.com.au understands the store resumed normal operations for the weekend and no issues since. The post prompted a huge reaction on social media, with pro cash advocates arguing that card only payment options are flawed. “Cash is king no matter what the politicians tell you they are fools for the banks to rip us off by using your card,” one said.
