A cash campaigner has revealed his four big reasons not to go cashless, protesting against the nation’s emerging “cashless society” along with hidden tap-and-go fees. Cash Welcome founder Jason Bryce joined Nat Barr on Sunrise on Monday, outlining his primary reasons for retaining cash — privacy, reliability, budgeting, and surcharges.

Cash campaigner slams hidden fees in going cashless Bryce pulled no punches as he offered logical reasons Australians still need cash for transactions, saying: “For privacy, sometimes I don’t want all my information out there on the worldwide web.” Bryce also said cash was reliable, citing the November Optus outage when 10 million people were disconnected from the internet, forcing many businesses to revert to cash only transactions.
