A car has flipped onto its roof and burst into flames after a multi-vehicle collision on the Sydney Harbour Bridge on Monday morning.
A spokesman for NSW Ambulance said three cars were involved in the crash. Two patients have been taken to hospital, one with minor injuries and one in critical condition.The bridge is now closed in both directions as drivers are being urged to use the Sydney Harbour Tunnel instead.2GB’s Tom Malone said he was about two kilometres west of the crash when he heard a loud explosion.
“You could easily see naked flame, it must be four- to five-metre flames coming out of the explosion,” he said. He said the crash occurred towards the city end of the bridge, about 50 metres north of the south pylon.
