Three-year-old Jaxson Howe was walking out of his bedroom down the hallway when an out-of-control car ploughed into his room behind him.

The crash happened about 6:30pm, just an hour before Jaxson's usual bedtime.Ms Howe said she felt sick thinking about what could have happened if Jaxson had been asleep.

"The amount of chunks of glass in his cot ... I don't even want to think about what could have happened if he got hit with a chunk of glass," she said."Everything in my son's room had to be thrown in the bin," Ms Howe said. The out-of-control car also hit one of the family's cars parked in front of the house, along with a trailer."He works on the car all the time with his dad.

"He's very upset about that. We're going to have to discard it because the chassis has been snapped off."Topics:

After the week that was, any person preventing a car fire being put out, and assaulting those who are helping, should be charged with some pretty serious offences, and definitely incur jail time. If this happened in Victoria he would be out on bail and getting compensation for injuries he sustained.
