Canberra will soon introduce a digital health record system.

When Jen Sutherland winds up in the emergency department in debilitating pain, she is often forced to relay to the staff a decade of complicated medical history before she can be treated.$70 million has been set aside to build and implement the system over the next four yearsThe 27-year-old Canberran lives with Type 1 diabetes and endometriosis, juggling multiple medications, specialist appointments and tests each month.

And because Canberra's public health system uses a complex combination of digital systems and paper records, it can be difficult for clinical staff to access patients' medical information.'Constantly explaining yourself'"You have to try to explain from the beginning and you have to remember all the different events that could be important," she said.

She carries the journals to all appointments and has passed the tradition on to her daughter, who now lives out of home. "It can become like a full-time job managing it living day to day looking after things like appointments and medications and therapy," she said.

Health system in crisis in VenezuelaIn Venezuela, the health system that was once the pride of the nation has all but collapsed amid the economic and political crisis. Socialism is great. Wow, this 'report' had more drama than a Latin American telenovela & as much crap; full of lies and intentional omissions, like the US blockade (that Australia adheres to, of course) that has prevented medicine to be imported. Besides, there are plenty of doctors. Socialism........Like a big birthday party till the grog runs out.
