I've been saving daylight for years now. It's mostly overrated.
Definitely, we should not temper with the time of day. It is HOT ENOUGH in summer. You want to save daylight, you get up one hour earlier !! That will fix the savings of daylight !!
The length of sunlight hours in a summer day makes daylight savings a moot point. So I say scrap it. Daylight savings does not advantage those who have got a rigid work/rest schedule. As a matter of fact, I fail to see any benefits whatsoever.
