California has become the first US state to ban the manufacture and sale of animal fur.

Residents will no longer be able to sell or make clothing, shoes, or handbags from real fur as of 2023, however the legislation does not apply to leather, cow hides, goat

and sheep skin. Animal rights groups have welcomed the move as a stand against inhumane practices, and anyone found breaking the law could face a $1,000 fine. Image: Getty

They cant even keep the trees from catching on fire from their electrical grid. I am sure they wont even notice a few fur jackets.
