China leased Newcastle harbour for 99 years and Abu Dhabi leased Port Kembler for 99 years. I suppose we could rent part of their leasehold back so we can put our subs in what was once our harbour.

Yes it's true we only have 80k military including reserves whilst our potential foes have many millions of military but sure build some subs for the future and if we get attacked in the meantime just tell them we wasn't ready yet 👌

Really think a sub base is required up around Port Head land or Broome on upper west coast. There is absolutely nothing between Perth and Darwin. Sort of a wide open door to pinch our iron ore resources from under our nose. And who ya gunna call?
