Queensland Police are treating the tragic death of a five-month-old girl as a murder investigation, following a month-long inquiry. 9News

The child had been seen alive and well, with her parents, at Buranda Village shopping centre the day before.Neighbours say the family had only been at the home for a couple of months and kept to themselves."We used to hear the baby cry, but we did't see the baby herself," one told 9News.

Detectives from Morningside Child Protection and Investigation Unit and specialist police from Crime and Intelligence Command's Child Trauma Unit are investigating. The child's parents have been interviewed multiple times, the 32 year-old-mother spending most of today at the Morningside police station.
