AFL goalkicking champion Brendan Fevola nailed a kick from the boundary line to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital’s Good Friday Appeal during half time of North Melbourne’s clash with Carlton on Friday. Carlton hall of famer Fevola, along with fellow retired AFL player Daniel Harris, who played 149 games for North Melbourne plus 11 for Gold Coast, teamed up to compete in the Kick 4 The Kids.
Brendan Fevola kicks amazing goal for charity. The past greats of the two competing clubs in the annual Good Friday match had a set of targets to hit to score money for the Appeal. “Obviously a great cause, great day ... we’re doing it for the kids,” Fevola said. And while Fevola was uncharacteristically wayward in the first part of the challenge, he brought out his mercurial best for what was next.
