UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he is “determined” to still lead the Conservative Party and the nation despite the issues surrounding COVID rule-breaking at Number 10.

Mr Johnson was found guilty of breaking COVID-19 rules by attending a gathering to celebrate his birthday in June 2020.

He is also set to face a parliamentary investigation into whether he misled MPs over his knowledge and participation in Downing Street parties during COVID lockdowns. His problems may appear distant as he carries out a state visit to India more than 6,000 kilometres away from Westminster. However, the fallout from the Partygate scandal is growing as even some of his most loyal Conservative Party allies call for him to resign.
