Authorities have urged people in NSW to wear masks as outraged Sydney siders call for them to be mandated.

“If you‘re going grocery shopping, wear a mask...If you are going to a place of worship anywhere in New South Wales please wear a mask. If you’re going into an indoor setting or anywhere where social distancing can’t be maintained, please wear a mask. Wearing a mask at airports and inside other crowded spaces is not mandatory in NSW. As thousands of travellers converge on airports and start hurriedly trying to make their way to their holiday destinations, the sight of people not wearing masks in crowded areas has led some to ask why the Premier hasn’t moved to make the face coverings mandatory.
