Body cam footage released of Rayshard Brooks shooting

It’s reported that Mr Brooks took a taser from the officer before being tasered by the other and then is struck by a short series of shots as he tried to run away. The city’s police chief Erika Shields had also resigned over the incident, announced by Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms who demanded the officer responsible for the death be fired.

Both parties at fault he ignored warnings, resisted arrest, stole taser, threatened officers then ran, but wtf cant US trigger happy cops learn to shoot perps e.g. in the leg the idea to just stop them from escaping?

Why try to resist arrest and why run away? It just doesn’t make any sense that the actions of this guy are not taken into account. Just fucking stay there and listen to the cops. Simple.

Any competent police officer would have been able to resolve that situation without resorting to lethal force.

He shouldnt of run. But even if he was intoxicated in his car, he wasn't doing anything wrong and was proving innocent that he wasn't driving and was sleeping or sitting in the passenger seat. Therefore the cops had 0 reason to arrest him
