The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecasts a series of blustery cold fronts bringing strong winds, freezing temperatures and even snow to large parts of NSW over the next few days.

A series of blustery cold fronts will bring strong winds, freezing temperatures and even snow to large parts of NSW over the next few days.Temperatures will plummet inland, with Wagga Wagga expected to reach just 11CThe first of the fronts is sweeping across western NSW this morning and is expected to reach eastern parts of the state this afternoon — although the Sydney metropolitan area will be spared the worst.

"It's throwing up a few cold fronts which are slowly moving up across the bight, going through South Australia and coming into Victoria and NSW." Sydney is forecast to reach 21 degrees Celsius on the coast today and is only expected to see wind gusts between 30 to 40kph. "Conditions are going to feel a lot colder than what the actual temperature says it is, particularly across southern NSW today."The front will also bring persistent rainfall but the majority of it is expected to fall west of the Great Dividing Range.
