A date has been set by NSW for when key restrictions could ease – but one key factor has people questioning whether it will be safe to do so.

“I’m very keen to make sure as soon as we have done the work and Health [has] had the appropriate input, we make our roadmap public,” Ms Berejiklian said today.

“The second dose activates the immune system more quickly,” RMIT’s Dr Kylie Quinn and The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity’s Dr Jennifer Juno explained in a June piece for“Within a week of dose two, your antibody levels increase by more than 10 times, providing much stronger and longer-lasting protection from infection.

“We need to wait that two to three weeks and we need to get additional vaccines and the second dose in. So the changes will take a little while and that’s why I’m [being] a bit cautious before jumping in to any release of things, in terms of the public health advice.” “As I said, the community’s got – in terms of the public health advice and me having a level of comfort, the things the community can do is bear with is. I know we’ve asked a lot of the community,” she said.

‘Extremely concerned’: ICU nurses plea in letter to GladysNurses in New South Wales are begging the government to fix the staffing crisis in hospitals after modelling advised the number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care would hit almost 1,000 by the end of October. Gladys don’t give a shit the Liberals continually cut funding to public hospitals because they don’t believe in the public system 2019, (as with every year) we hear about shortages of medical staff & resources in our public health system regardless of influenza season. Why, after all tbese years do states not invest more $$ into public health? It would cost less than hobbling society & businesses Increasing hospital capacity and their resources seemed like a no brainer. Even building a multifuction covid hospital wouldn't be a waste compare to the sydney light rail project.
