Prince Harry has suffered a major loss in his lawsuit against British tabloid media over claims of alleged phone hacking and unlawful information gathering.

The Duke is suing News Group Newspapers, the publisher of The Sun and now-defunct News of the World, over allegations it used illegal methods, like phone-hacking, to gather information about him.

The father-of-two has alleged that journalists and private investigators hired by The Sun used unlawful ways of gathering information about him for stories between 1996 and 2016. On Thursday, Judge Timothy Fancourt said the 38-year-old had a"realistically arguable case at trial" in relation to allegations of unlawful information-gathering.

However, Prince Harry's phone-hacking allegations, which date back to the 2000s, were quashed by the judge.
