The US plans to share 500 million COVID19 vaccines manufactured by Pfizer in what it hopes will be a turning point in the global battle against the coronavirus, writes North America correspondent KnottMatthew. vaccinecovid19

National security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters on the UK trip that Biden was committed to sharing vaccines because it was in its public health and strategic interests. He added that Biden was aiming to show “that democracies are the countries that can best deliver solutions for people everywhere”.

Biden has consistently said he wants to show the world that democracies such as the US and its allies are still capable of solving major global challenges.
