Mining giant BHP and energy provider Origin pull out of the Queensland Resources Council after the lobby group releases an ad campaign urging people to put the Greens last at the upcoming state election.

Origin also suspended its membership with the QRC and said the "campaign around the Queensland election oversteps a clear boundary between policy and politics and we do not endorse this activity".

In a statement, South32 said: "We value the work that the QRC does to support the Queensland resource industry and the broader community, however we do not support campaigns directed at individuals or political parties." "The ads are still running and they are running on the basis that the Greens have a policy of shutting down one of the biggest employers in Queensland and the biggest exporter in Queensland," he said.

Self interest kicks in regardless of individuals, or large Corporations. BHP and Origins future like our own, is seriously at risk with Climate Change ! They recognise that the Greens are part of the solution, not the enemy. Change we must, or we perish! That simple!!
