On Friday, NSW Health authorities discovered two people recently diagnosed with COVID-19 had both been at a south-west Sydney pub.
Ms Musto should know what works best, as the COVID-19 pandemic is far from her first outbreak, and while Health Minister Brad Hazzard regularly likens the fight against the coronavirus to a war zone, he said she has actually been there. Before rejoining NSW Health earlier this year, Ms Musto had spent seven years working with the World Health Organisation in countries including Bangladesh and Yemen. In Yemen, she was an incident manager working in surveillance and response during an outbreak of cholera and diphtheria, and also helped health services cope during periods of conflict.
Two weeks into her new job at Health Protection NSW she was diverted into the public health emergency operations centre.
Her last job listed there is 'Information Management Team Lead ' at WHO which looks like a bureaucratic position? She may have worked with teams in the field but does not appear to have a postgrad qualification in the subject.
Is Jennie Musto an 'epidemiologist'? Her highest degree shown on Linkedin is a 'Masters In Public Health' - elsewhere she is described as a 'contact tracer'. The Masters is a generalised degree...
She's going to be very busy very soon.
❤️🔥🤷🏻♂️
MarieCo92176893 Fascinating such detailed data and work can be done. How about providing us with the same tracing information and patient zero for Ruby Princess.
Seems epidemiology is the only growth industry
Can we please get rid of state governments and reduce the total number or government workers? I find them a waste of tax dollars. One National government and bigger councils is all we need. We have more combined politicians per capita than many countries. Eugh!!!

How disease detectives tracked down 'patient zero' of the Sydney pub outbreak'A man from Melbourne came into a workplace in Sydney, and then there's some transmission within that workplace and then they all went to a party that night of the third of July, at the Crossroads hotel.' 9News Thanks Melbourne This terrible panicdemic. And I think the honesty of these people coming forward makes the detectives work a little easier so THE POINT I would make - if you are treated POSITIVE- be truthful if where you have been to help stop the virus moving.
