Queensland grandmother Julene Yates has been left permanently disfigured after a local salon's beauty treatment gave her second degree burns. Ms Yates initially signed up for three rounds, but said the pain was so intense she could only cope with half her leg being treated.By the time she got home, the grandmother said she could barely stand.Her husband, Stephan, was horrified.A Current AffairOver the next two days, Ms Yate's legs swelled up and began to blister.

She waited another two days before a nurse insisted she go to the hospital. There, she was diagnosed with second degree burns."If I had have had my whole legs done, I would have had to have been admitted to hospital, because it would have been more than a third of my body burnt," she said.
