NRL: Andrew Webster and Mitchell Barnett spoke to the media following the Warriors win over the Dolphins

The Warriors have shared heartwarming footage of post-match celebrations following key middle forward Mitch Barnett’s Origin call-up for the Blues.

The only place to watch every game of every round LIVE with no ad-breaks during play is Fox League, available on Kayo. New to Kayo?“Yeah I actually just got a phone call then, all I know is I’m on a plane tomorrow and in the squad so that’s all I know,” Barnett said. “Just through injuries and lack of discipline, but just yeah, excited for the challenge ahead and whatever that role looks like for me.”The Warriors shared footage to the social media platform X of head coach Andrew Webster breaking the news of Barnett’s call-up to his teammates.

It’s a huge reward for Barnett’s form since joining the Warriors ahead of the 2023 season, being granted a release from the Knights.“If Barny went to Origin, we probably wouldn’t get him back. He’d probably go out there and kill himself, he’s just that sort of player,” Tuaupiki said.“A lot of people don’t really see what Barnett does off the field. He’s massive for us, he builds that strong edge.
