New South Wales schools are set for the biggest curriculum overhaul in 30 years as the government looks to boost declining academic results.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she wanted to go back to basics, supporting a majority of recommendations from an independent review.

Excess syllabus content would be scrapped, refocusing on early learning and oral language development, reading, writing and mathematics. A smaller number of HSC subjects would be offered and would need to have clear links to further study and future employment.

What will Trump do? He won’t back down and he won’t front up. He doesn't need their permission. Tom Petty's just trying to be relevant because he knows his version is the least known and liked. NSW could scrap the ATAR under major school curriculum overhaulThe NSW Government will push ahead with changes suggested in the first major review of the state's school curriculum for kindergarten to year 12 in 30 years. and what, then have a bunch of ten year olds going to University? bad move in my opinion :\\ Sounds like students will be “confident” when leaving school and then get smashed at uni And the poor kids in Qld have just moved over to this stupid system.
