'Wonderful couple': Friends defend Australian travellers held in IranFriends of an Australian couple detained in Iran for allegedly flying a drone over a military site without a permit have defended the 'wonderful couple' Being a ‘good person’ doesn’t allow you to get away with breaking a law. At all. And shouldn’t. Either they're really clueless (they're Australians after all) or they're working for the CIA. My money's on the former. People who fly drones are obnoxious and should do time regardless. If they did that here they would also be charged.

‘Black hole of evil’: Iran’s prison nightmareFormer prisoners and human rights groups have warned of the squalid and terrifying conditions in Iran’s notorious Evin prison, as Australian authorities press Iranian leaders for the release of three Australian citizens. Hopefully our prison departments will send some people over there to learn how a prison should be run and implement the same thing here I wish I could generate some sympathy, but since our govt has been detaining people for years in deplorable conditions without access to medical care I think any outrage caused by this would be hypocritical - don't you? auspol Why not report on what we, Australians put people through when we lock them up indefinitely ? auspol

Bloggers could be used as ‘bargaining chips’There are fears Iran wants to use two travel bloggers as bargaining chips in exchange for a mystery woman who “nobody talks about” in Australia. That's sad because everyone knows the Australian Government doesn't care about their citizens. Well they should have checked what they can and can't do in 'countries that have a bad wrap'. Don't think I'll pay any attention to their travel trips the tit for tat between nation's leaders that use their own and the citizens of rivals as tokens for bargaining is such BS. likely innocent people getting swept up in crap they didn't perpetuate. i say let ones who did be the dang chips i wanna live and let live. most all do imo
