Australian Open players may have 'brushed off' hard quarantine warning: Tennis Australia | scottspits

Tiley said there was "certainly an advantage" for those players who are able to utilise a five-hour training block during mandatory quarantine. Tennis Australia is in talks with tennis tours about tinkering with the plans for the five tournaments – including the ATP Cup – that will run concurrently at Melbourne Park in the week before the Open.

"What we need to do is that by the time they come out until the time they play is try and elongate that time as long as possible, and then provide the right schedule to that group," Tiley said.Tennis players in quarantine at the View Melbourne hotel were allowed out to train on Tuesday."It’s not going to involve the cancellation or moving the Australian Open – the date is still February 8. That’s not going to change.
