Fake news

Check your sources next time. These numbers are wrong. Try reading the reports of the Australian Energy Market Commission

David_Speers the article was nonsense

Talk about diversive. Me poor. No solar.

Is it true the government will increase spending on renewables this year. I thought the subsidies were being wound back as renewables are already cheaper and dont heed proping up

Good. Happy to do it. I’d rather that than my taxes going to subsidise new coal fire power stations.

These rip off subs should end immediately. If you want solar pay yourself.

MRobertsQLD I don’t Understand what you are saying

Tax by stealth. What does the constitution say about government taxation? It may or may not be a great idea but it is hard to argue it is not a form of taxation not recorded as a tax.

David_Speers These numbers are total BS.

The figures don't show that at all, or anything like it. You might want to either recheck that or resign, either/or.

Wow. This article is so full of detail. I believe it!

What do you know? Not only is the renewable info not accurate, there's also paid digital expressing outrage. Got some explaining to do ? 🙄You do realize voters are more clued up than you realize? auspol nswpol

Probably self funded retirees getting free solar. Someone tell Electricity Bill.

I can't afford solar panels on my roof and yet I am supposed to subsidize those that can? so not only do I pay more for my own electricity I also pay for other peoples electricity, please explain

I thought the renewable energy is supposed to make electricity cheaper for Australian households. Not more money coming out of our pockets.

What 💩 I rent and shouldn’t be paying home owners to have solar panels

Hmmm... $200 on solar panels or Murdoch toilet paper? 🤔

I believe in climate change and i would have solar panels & a battery in a flash except I rent. But these tax payer subsidies are so wrong. I have forgotten when do they stop?

Dick Smith calls for an Australian population plan | Sky News AustraliaAustralian businessman Dick Smith is calling for the government take the lead to tackle population growth through a series of advertisements. \n\nThe country will see a population of 100 million people by the end of this century with our present growth rate of 1.6 per cent per year and eight out of 10 Australians want a population plan, says Mr Smith.\n\nMr Smith believes the present system of capitalism requires growth forever, which is why governments are yet to act on the issue.
