Caitlin Bassett is currently in contract negotiations with the GIANTS_Netball after a horror Super Netball season for the Australian captain | sarah_keoghan SMHsport

Despite being the Diamonds captain, Bassett has only taken the court once across the Giants' last four games.. Bassett is considered one of the best shooters in the world, but her main talent is her extraordinary accuracy under the post, rather than from the outer portion of the goal circle. The negotiations could see the 32-year-old retire, but a move across the Tasman to New Zealand's domestic league is also on the cards.

The decision not to use Bassett had netball fans across Australia raising their eyebrows from week one of the 2020 season. The Giants stuck with the call to prioritise the super shot throughout the entire season despite little success. The club has sunk the most super shots across the competition at 105, but with just 56 per cent accuracy.Former Diamonds coach Lisa Alexander said mid-season that she was concerned the super shot was hurting Bassett's confidence."This is a great mental challenge for her and she knows that and she is trying very hard to embrace that challenge for herself," Alexander said. "I'm trying to assist her as much as I can from the outside.

Alexander also said Fitzgerald's decision to play Bassett from the bench could affect the Diamonds' dominance in the sport. "There are many areas she very much has a positive impact to play within her team. The data tells us that the Giants are winning when CBass is on the court," she said.Sports news, results and expert commentary delivered straight to your inbox. Sign up to the

GIANTS_Netball sarah_keoghan SMHsport The stupid 2 point shot thing, dreamed up and crashed through unilaterally by that bloke Symington, will be gonski at the end of this season and order will be restored. Bassett a great shooter, great captain, great shooter, great Australian. Symington should go with 2 point shot

Systemic discouragement of Hydroxychloroquine is a ‘national scandal’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Rowan Dean says Australian governments are “directly responsible for the deaths of Australians” whose lives could have been saved, but weren't, because governments and bureaucrats discouraged the use of Hydroxychloroquine.\n\nHydroxychloroquine has been touted by many as a potential treatment to COVID-19, however acting Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly declared to the Australian people it was not effective.\n\n“The jury is now in, not out, and there is an abundance of evidence that suggests that HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine) and zinc taken early on in the correct combinations definitely saves lives,” Mr Dean said.\n\nHe said there have been countless studies from across the globe which indicate the potential success of HCQ, and also the impotence of lockdowns.\n\n“Hydroxychloroquine saves lives. Italian lives, Saudi lives, Swiss lives, Filipino lives, American lives. So why not Australian lives, Mr Kelly?,” he said.\n\n“I'll tell you why. Because all these clowns, these bureaucrats and politicians, are taking their advice from the Therapeutic Goods Administration, who in turn are taking their advice from some mob called the COVID-19 Taskforce, who have taken all their advice from the Recovery studies in Britain.\n\n“Which have been repeatedly questioned and even debunked.\n\n“By discouraging the use of hydroxychloroquine, by banning the drug in Victoria and criminalising its use in Queensland, Australian governments and their bureaucrats are directly responsible for the deaths of Australians.\n\n“This is a national scandal and in time will be acknowledged as such.”\n\n rowandean rowandean What level of misinformation and downright lies are you prepared to host ? Your partisan mouthpieces spew falsehoods and sections of the population believe it. Or is this your intention? rowandean Wait till Rowan hears about cigarettes....
