Australia has just experienced the hottest March on record, capping off the hottest first quarter of the year ever recorded | rachelclun

Australia has just experienced the hottest March on record, capping off the hottest first quarter of the year ever recorded.

People enjoying Bondi on a hot Sunday afternoon in March. It was the sixth-hottest March on record for NSW.Bureau of Meteorology senior climatologist Blair Trewin said the new records were "quite significant"."The December to March period is even more of a standout in that sense, given we had a record nationally in December, we had a record January, we had a record March, and February was also in the top few.

It was the sixth-warmest March on record for NSW, with north-eastern parts of the state experiencing hotter than average days and nights. "Rainfall for the first quarter of the year was about 41 per cent below average, and that's actually almost exactly the same as the first quarter of last year, so we've now had two dry starts to the year in a row," he said.

Brexit supporters march through LondonOn the day that Britain was originally meant to be leaving the EU, large groups gathered outside parliament to voice their support for exiting the bloc. Somehow doubt it's more than the 6 million and growing who've signed asking for a new vote... Respect what people voted for in the first instance. UK government has wasted two years of precious time and affected the productivity of ministers who get paid for fighting and personal glory. They are not truly working for the country, but for themselves. Looks like every weekend in France.
